District Empire Entertainment, LLC was founded in 2015 in Washington, D.C. by Owner and CEO, Curtis "Hazzard" Thurston. As a freelance photographer/videographer, recording artist, and overall avid lover of the arts, Curtis started District Empire as a platform for creativity and expressive talent to be shared with the world. District Empire accomplishes this in two manners: through multimedia and music.
The multimedia branch of District Empire specializes in the contracting of freelance photography and cinematography. There is a strong representation of an array of aesthetic talent. From music videos, high end fashion, street and modeling photography vowing to capture a diversity of memorable moments along with thought provoking artistic visuals.
The record label branch of District Empire serves as an independent hip-hop label featuring talented recording artists, songwriters, and producers. At District Empire, it is important for us to give our artists creative liberty. We don't allow corporate bureaucracy and red tape to hinder our artists' ability. We also believe in representing a small group of talent allowing each one of them to take their own creative path.
The merchandise portion of District Empire serves as a extension of the style the company and team, as a whole, conveys. Dad hats are the new wave and number one accessory of the young, traveling, independent, and sometimes rebellious millennial community. Stay tunes for more from the Dad hat portion of District Empire and its team.
We're not the average company; we're more of a template for the future of a young, fast-paced, computer-aged, authentic entertainment industry. We are District Empire Entertainment.
